OPEN DOOR POLICY
The other night, about 3 a.m. I was suddenly awakened by my bedroom door opening by itself, completely. It looked like a tall, thin figure of a man was standing there. My boyfriend, Dan, is tall and thin, so in my sleepy haze, I called out, "Dan?" as I thought he had come to my house in the middle of the night or something. There was nobody there when I called out. Now, it's happened several times, like about a half dozen. This just started recently, we'd never had this experience, before. Sometimes my daughter sleeps in my room with me, and she's seen it too. I don't have a bad feeling about this entity, Maddie and I both agree it's someone who cares very deeply about us and is checking on us. Maddie says sometimes he stands at the end of the bed. "Could Dan astral project? Because I thought it was Dan, he cared so much about us and was such a gentle spirit?" I asked Maddie. "Well, it could be your Grandfather, Corey, you said he used to haunt you as a little girl, didn't he." "Yeah," I said, he was tall and thin, too. I dunno'." Last night, I fell asleep on the couch, and Maddie fell asleep in her room. My bedroom door is closed all the time, to keep the cats out of it. It is never open. When I woke up this morning, it was all the way open. It is hard to open, even for a human, it's an old door and sticks, and you have to stick your finger in the tongue of lock to jimmy it open. When it opens in the middle of the night though, it effortlessly opens. I also have carpet in the bedroom, but the hallway is hardwood, so if the cats pushed the door open, it would only open a cat's width. When whatever it is opens our door, it opens it 3/4ths of the way open, which takes a push to do. Who is our new ghost?
